All around is earthly splendor. Earthly scenes lie fair and bright. But mine eyes no longer see them, For the glory of that light.
Light that knows no cloud, no waning, Light wherein I see His face, All His love’s uncounted treasures, All the riches of His grace.” — J. Oswald Sanders
That Robyn may be encouraged in the center of her soul; that I may be an instrument of the Holy Spirit, the Comforter as I in turn come alongside her. May I be the common instrument of this comfort and consolation, seeing that our souls have been interwoven within the other through love.
Oh Lord, would we ever be straining toward the full treasury which is found in knowing you. This is true wealth. We often settle for the “penny collection” when you have unlocked the entrance to the immeasurable riches now placed within our reach. These riches are not a possession or a thing to be admired on the wall. Our inherited riches are found in the revealed intimacy with you. You are the secret, the mystery of all that we have been made for; for all that our marriage can become.
